Montana Service Trip
July 18th - July 27th, 2018
We will be headed to Christikon for A week of Backpacking, Hiking and Camping in the beautiful Mountains of Montana!
When you backpack at Christikon, you will be journeying into some of the world’s most lovely country. You will also journey with others more deeply into the adventure of faith.
Backpacking takes more energy and endurance than on-site camping, but it’s well worth the extra effort. You spend your first and last nights at our main camp. The rest of your time you will be hiking through our mountain wilderness. You will find a special life together: Worship and Bible study are woven together with the exhilaration of high country camping!
Two trained counselors join your group as guides and program leaders. Christikon provides you with backpacks, tents, cooking gear, and food. You supply your own sleeping bag, hiking boots, rain gear, and clothing.
Please be sure to keep your registration confirmation email as your source back to complete your payment!
Vacation Bible School - Adult Volunteer Sign Up
August 6th - August 10th, 2018
Yo, ho, ho! All hands ahoy! Nearly 100 volunteers are needed to make “Shipwreck” a success this year. Whether you are an old salt (experienced VBS volunteer) or an inexperienced scallywag (never have volunteered for VBS), we could use you on the crew. Even if it’s just for 1 night. If you are a teen, you need to have completed 9th grade to volunteer for these positions.
Check out the options below…
a. Decorations: The decorations team will meet a few times on evenings and weekends before VBS starts to help create and assemble the sets and decorations for the sanctuary, education hallway and gathering space. They will also set up the decorations the week before VBS starts & help tear down decorations the last night of VBS.
b. Registration: The registration team needs help the weekend before VBS (prepping nametags, etc.) and during the week to check kids in, answer questions and sell CD’s. Monday we will need help starting at 5:00pm. The rest of the week we will start at 6:00pm.
c. Preschool Team: There are a variety of positions to assist with in Pre-school (Games, Snacks, Crafts and Adult Crew Leader). If you are the parent of a pre-schooler, this is a great way to participate with your child and help them feel comfortable with the hustle and bustle that is VBS. We try to put 1 adult or more with each rotation of preschoolers.
d. Photography: During the week we take photos of the children for daily closing video/slides as well as taking candids. We need 1-2 people to take photos and assist with staging the photos/props.
e. Dinners Team: There are 3 areas to participate with the Dinners Team.
Help prep the dinners starting at approximately 3:30pm.
Serve dinners from 5:00-6:30pm.
Clean up after the dinners from 6:00-7:00pm.
f. Snacks Team: The snacks team prepares the snacks for the kids each night. This is from about 6:30-8:15pm.
g. Crafts: The crafts team sets up the items needed for the evenings craft, helps the children make the craft each night, and helps clean up the craft room from 6:15-8:30pm.
h. Games: The games team helps set up the games for the night and assists the children in participating the nightly games and also helps chaperone the games (kids can get pretty excited!). 6:30-8:15pm.
i. Drama: Helps with the drama / story telling station each night. 6:30-8:15pm.
j. Adult Crew Leader: As an Adult Crew Leader you will travel with one of the color groups (Red, Yellow, Green or Preschool). You will assist the teen leaders as mentors and support them as needed if the children get unruly. You may also have to escort children to and from the restroom so the teen leader can keep the other children on task. It is critical that you are early on Monday as often we have teens at sports registration that first night. 6:15-8:30pm.
k. Floater: I can help wherever you need me! I understand that I might be in games 1 night and snacks the next.

Looking to have your baby baptized?
Parents must attend our Baptism class first before they can schedule their baptism. Our baptism class covers the history and sacrament of baptism. The class is held the second Sunday of every month by Pastor Lee. The class is in our room Mark down the office hallway at 10:30 AM. Childcare is provided. Please call our office with any questions.
NOTE: If you are an adult or teenager looking to be baptized, we ask you to call the office and schedule a private meeting with Pastor Lee instead of attending the preparation class.
NOTE: If you have already taken the class for a previous child, you do not have to take the class again, just call the office to schedule your child's baptism.
New Member Informational Class
October 14th, 2018
For anyone interested in Resurrection membership, we hold an informational class for you to attend before deciding on membership. The New Member class is a place where you can learn more about us, our mission, our vision, and the ministries of Resurrection to help you decide if membership is a good fit. It also gives you an opportunity to get to know a smaller group of people entering the church at the same time as you.
All family members over the age of 15 (including both spouses) need to attend the new member class to become a member of Resurrection. Children currently attending confirmation classes do not need to attend.
Lunch is provided as well as child care for children under 15.
